Card Error

Hello.

I am new to this Forum and have come from the Photography group with a query that has more to do with computer technology knowledge than photographic expertise.

Here is the tread in which I presented a problem with "Card Error" on my Fuji Finepix e 500:

I would like to be able to fix this myself and found a thread that is full of tips on Card Errors, regardless of brand name:

However, my computing skills are not advanced enough to be able to follow all the advice there and I do not want to waste time.

If any tech-head here knows a solution and could share it, I would be very grateful.
