Just saw a poster for this in college, sounds great for anyone located in the Mid West who wants a fun run over the Christmas. Its a 10km walk/run or 40km cycle or (duatholon) 40km + 5km run

The event takes place on Dec 27th at 1pm. Registration on the day.

    Thanks Mariec
Might do this one , also the Ennis Track club is running a Turkey trot 10k from Ballyea Gaa Clubhouse on Stephens Day and there is a run from Waterpark House by Marian AC as well at 12 oclock on the 26th thru the streets of Ennis so plenty to chose from in Clare over XMas.

O class!!! I hadnt heard about either of those runs. Where would I find out the necessary info? think they may suit better, the one on the day after Stephens day is proving tricky for me to rally family for!

The Ennis Track Club usually is at 12 or 1pm on Stephens Day. Starts from Ballyea Clubhouse and goes along alot of quiet country roads but there are a few hills as well! but not too bad.
I ran half last year and walked the rest but fitter this year so looking to run it all. I will update this thread when I hear more about times.
The Marian AC around Ennis was mentioned in the Clare People not sure about length though possibly a 5k. I'd imagine just show up 30 mins before for registration.

Response to email I sent to Ennis Track Club

We are having a turkey Trot on St Stephens day, it will be about 4 miles in length.
Starting at 1pm in the community hall in Ballyea. Reg €5 on the day €10 per family. All procedes go to VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas).
