    Guys

So, which cream works best for you - for most its probably something not even thought about but ...

    reason I post:

Up until very recently Ive been using the Assos chamois cream (the one with the red swiss flag on the tin). No problems. Bought a new jar of it (same size jar, black and white branding, no red swiss flag on tin) and, without going into detail, I appear to be a bit allergic to something in it. Having read the labels the 'ingredients' vary wildly .. either that or they've just used more precise or scientific names on the new jar or are trying to comply with european labelling laws or something.
Ive a bit of a history with dermititus but nothing major and no sign of it for years now but ...
Im washing kit using exactly the same non-bio stuff that goes in the washing machine.

I maybe spin twice at the weekends .. or one long 5-6 hour session - with some turbo during the week. If I got for a short spin I dont bother with the chamois cream.

This is what I have been using, it's basically a moisturiser, and was designed for cows udders, personally I find it fine, it washes out OK, but I feel I could get the same benefit with E45 cream. Doesn't give you that glowy feeling that the Assos cream does.
You could try it, or just go with the E45 (would try with an older pair of shorts/tights first, just to check the washability).
Or there is this http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/Udderly_Smooth_Udderly_Smooth_Extra_Care_Cream/5360038454/, but the thought of Urea just puts me off

Only posting due to your "if any" - personally I don't use the stuff and have never had a problem in that department, even over very long cycles.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.
I reckon I'll avoid everything for the moment but may look at the Udderly smoothy stuff from wiggle.
From the little Ive read online, and apologies for dragging this post even further left than centre, most products from boots or pharmacy, containing cocoa butter and lanolin might also offer an alternative.

I've tried Assos and Ozone. Assos is better in my view, seems to last longer. However, I got by for years without any cream. It slightly improves comfort on longer spins I've found, but comes into its own on wet days when you tend to get more chafing.

    I use Ozone elite - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=19150

Actually never cycled without it an even use it on the turbo sessions. Probably overkill I know...
