FREE WEDDING VIDEO.

    Hi guys.

I made wedding videos during the early to late 90s. I gave it up due to the volume of corporate work that came my way. However, I am restarting my wedding video business in 2009. I really thought the industry was now occupied by professional outfits, but sadly it appears that there are still many "dodgy" operators in existence. From my own perspective, Im concentrating on a film career. Ive shot two short films (one of which was nominated for an award) and a third is planned in the new year. I know a camera and an edit suite in an artistic sense and not in a "just press the button" sense. But my dear wife insists I pay the bills!!! Who can blame her. So I available for wedding videos from Jan 09 onwards. My work is excellent.

But I didn't come here to sell. I came on over here to get some help. I need a new updated wedding video showreel. So Im offering to produce a wedding video for free if its allowed be used as an inhouse demo and on my forthcoming website. The wedding should ideally be in the greater Dublin area and taking place in mid to late January. But Im open to anything that comes close to fitting the bill.

Just PM me and thanks for reading.

Hi, I did similar when I set upo my photography business this year and gave away a couple of free weddings and now do them quite cheap. People tend to be very appreciative of the deal they are getting. If you send me your details I can pass your info onto anyone who queries with me. Also I would recommend advertising your offer on gumtree.ie which is the place that generated most enquiries for me.

You get some obscene request, I had one person asking me to go all the way to galway on new years eve for a freebie and another requesting i do a wedding before hers as she thought she was taking a huge risk by allowig me to do hers for free. You just have to grin and bear it.

I was happy with the couples I chose, they were young couples who just could not afford to pay a photographer and were so happy for the service.

I wish you the best of luck with it.

You should also register with weddingsonline.ie there are loads of brides to be using it, I myself have used it and sourced many of my suppliers through the forums there. Just be upfront and honest about what you are doing and Im sure you will get some takers. Good luck.
