Well it had to happen as Lindsay was mandatory, but great news for Lindsay that's he's got it at home in Belfast.
Close fight imo but I think Appleby will shade it, he's just got that bit more about him for me and despite Lindsay's spectacular ko of Matthews, Appleby carries the greater power.

Hayemaker are really showing their financial weight at the moment too, Tommy Gilmour(Appleby's promoter)
"After hefty negotiations with Hayemaker Promotions, they came up with an unbelievable offer," he said.
"It is the biggest amount ever offered to a champion I've had and Paul is blown away by the deal.
"I've had lots of big purses in the past but this is exceptional and I had no option but to take it.

Gilmour is a bit small time in a way, pretty much dealing with Scottish fighters at British level and below so he's not been involved in any huge deals.
He did have Damaen Kelly for a while, but Kelly was never a huge attraction. The point still stands though, that Hayemaker promotions are very serious about boxing.

They've currently got: David Haye, Ryan Rhodes Martin Lindsay, David Barnes, Derry Matthews and Tony Dodson
Aswell as prospects such as George Groves, John Watson, Michael Maguire, Josh Wale, Joe McNally, Michael Grant
other fighters: Cutris Woodhouse and Patrick Maxwell

I've forgotten some of their signings aswell, but they're building a pretty decent stable and they've quite a few quality prospects there.
