Just came across this forum and thought I'd dig out some old shots I remember taking earlier in the year - thanks to Loobz's "sky is on fire" thread for the inspiration!
Sunrise in Dublin 2, on 4 Jan 08:
1) These were shot in RAW and only given SMALL boosts to saturation, and I mean SMALL! Of course, the colours of skies like this can fade in minutes/seconds, I tried to catch the colours at their peak...
2) I like the "post-apocalyptic" feel of this one...
3) Sunset a few weeks later, 19 Feb 08:
There, I feel better now they're not just sitting on my hard drive gathering dust...!

I captured the same sunrise as the first photo above - 04.01.08 Just to note this is raw too (automatic camera settings). There was sleet and snow about an hour after this was taken.
