I went to Joe Daly to fix my bike the other day. He replaced a couple of cable and a part from the derailleur and charged me 20 quid.

Little Sport in Fairview are quite cheap, they are also fast. However, on two occassions they have not installed a chain correctly for me.

How can they not fit a chain correctly? Twice

Don't cyclesuperstore have rates from 40euro to 150 euro:eek: for the various service options they do ...

    http://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/shop/pc/viewContent.asp?idpage=74

Anyone used them before ... any of it worth it ...

Going from option 2 to 3 for just a wash at 70 euro seems to be the height of it ...

They're not the friendliest or most efficient folk either.

sounds like they re-used the link pin instead of using a new one, if it was a shimano chain.

How long do Joe Daly's usually take for a service?
Is it a drop the bike off and come back a few days later type job?

I hate to say it but I've been going to Joe Daly's for 20 years now:eek:. They've hardly changed a bit. Great service and free advice. They've done everything for me, wheels built and rebuilt, drivetrain stuff, MTB stuff, road bike stuff, fininshed off my own botched jobs without laughing. I've tried alot of places since I moved from Dundrum and have reached the conclusion that its better to cycle out to Joe and get the luas back into town than drop the bike into any other place. They're bleedin' deadly.
