Help me change my diet

Background: 21 year old male, 6 foot, 14st 10, looking to lose about 1 1/2 stone. Doing HIIT on treadmill about 3 times per week, about 15 mins per sessions excluding warmups (90 seconds off 45 seconds on). Trying to push this to 20 mins.

I've gone into my crap diet in previous threads, and have made a few changes since:

Breakfast is generally muesli instead of cornflakes/white toast/fry.
I eat Rye bread with ham or salmon or cheese as a snack.
Switched from white bread to wholegrain bread
Started eating fruit, mainly oranges and bananas.

I still have issues with what to eat for lunch and dinner. I have time off over christmas so I plan to do as much cooking as possible. I'm also looking to phase meat out of my diet, but the only veggie meal I can cook is a stir fry.

So I'm looking for suggestions as to what I should eat for lunch and dinner?

One more question, how bad is cheese as a food for weight loss? I eat a lot of it.

    Hi OP,

Have you had a look in the veggie section in food and drink? They have loads of meat free recipes. Also there are vegitarian fake meats out there that you could cook like chicken etc. The one thing Ill tell you about going vegitarian is that it takes you longer to feel full.

For lunches you could make yourself a salad, or you could roast some vegtables.
