Digital Looped Advertising - how?

I want to loop some advertising, images, offers - just like you would do slideshow in powerpoint.

I would like to use an LCD screen placed just inside the window of the restaurant. This will advetise accomodation and activities and offers.

Is it possible to do this cheaply? Do you need a PC per display? Or can is it possible to get an all in one unit that will play media using a card or disc?

Please excuse but I'm not in any way technical. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

power point is a solution, you will need a differenet lead (poss scart or three way) to each screen like this:

OR you can get your power point converted to AVI and it couud then play the presentation on a dvd player locally - which could be simpler
OR if you are going to stick at this and want it to look tidy - send the signal via a wireless link between PC and TV's

    Thanks blue4ever, appreciate it.

do you know if its possible to get a flat screen which has Memory card slot - that will play a presentation?

If you had a screen with inbuilt DVD - would continuous playing damage the unit?

And lastly the wireless link option - what do i need for that to work?

    :)

You want the money and the marbles here!

Not sure about the flat screen with the memory card – still needs something to ‘drive’ it.

Wireless – something like this: http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=655&sec=1 or even cheaper http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=115137&&source=14&doy=search

Don’t know if it does multiple tvs – possibly need a receiver dedicated for each

Have a chat with Maplins or peates - they will 'put ye wide'

    Cheers

plasma screens are not suitable for displaying repetitive advertisinng or holding a still image but lcd would work fine

make sure you get an lcd for these purposes as still or recurring images can get burned into a plasma screen

That is the ideal solution - but as it 'advertising' you can be real cleaver with the display -
'Come in out of the rain and have a pizza' for example -

or you can stream 'breaking news' - that's the only reason i would have it as 'live'
