Merry xmas one and all! To celebrate this festive season, HotchPotch will be hosting some jolly yuletide carollers on December 20th which will bring a smile to all the little chubby red cheeked rockers and ravers of Dublin.

Audiojack of Ralph Lawsons 20:20 label are two of the most talented djs going and had the crowds salivating at this years Solas festival with their punchy entanglement of tech, house and everything in between which makes them an act hard to categorise. They have been working hard in Lapland all year perfecting their forth coming album “Interludes” due out early 2009 and will surely be previewing some of their new tracks to the eager masses. Supporting them on the Drop stage will be Jaime Clarke, Dave Davin and Elektrodouche who should provide a good send up to the two Back 2 Basics residents.

A well known adversary of Saint Nick, Neil Landstrumm will be in attendance to act as a balance to any over expression of seasonal goodwill with such dub heavy techno beats it will have you pushing the turkey and stuffing back to were it came from. A pioneer of the electronic music scene since the early nineties, Landstrumm remains a Dublin favourite and with support on the Junction stage from Stuey Lyons, Jon Hussey and Stam the place should kick off nicely. //www.myspace.com/neillandstrumm

DeadBeat are providing the knee slapping beats in the dubstep room where Luke Envoy of Wonderland Records will fill your stockings full of hardcore jungle grime. Although that doesn’t sound appealing you can be sure with back up from 16 HZ, Johnny Oakland, Crysis and Rory Hyland any affront to your unsullied sensibilities will all be worth it.

Then of course, a favourite of McGruders are the beatboxing brotherhood of bravado the Breakdown Crew. Their mix of live techno, bongo’s, saxophone and MC always gets the room jumping and the ladies swooning. It’s rumoured all they’ll be wearing on the night is a pair of reindeer antlers which should make DJ Obese’s gyrations all the more special.

Add to this a visit from the big man himself, bar games, drink promos and outdoor performances and you have the makings of a very special xmas bash that you won’t quite remember!!

With a musical presence and maturity beyond their experience Audiojack are arguably one of the most talented and exciting electronic music acts to develop in recent years.
Signed to Ralph Lawson’s 20:20 Vision Recordings for their original productions and forthcoming debut album and with remixes under their belt for labels such as Renaissance, CR2, Leftroom, Great Stuff and Audio Therapy Audiojack have proved a unique ability to produce credible underground music whilst appealing to a wide enough audience to surpass the sales and airplay of many of their peers.
Their music has gathered an enviable and varied list of international DJs who support their sound including Groove Armada, Sasha, Carl Cox, Deep Dish, Paul Woolford, Lee Burridge, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli, Timo Maas, Erol Alkan, Luciano, Steve Lawler, Craig Richards, Meat Katie, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier and Danny Tenaglia.
Their first original production ‘Robot’ released on Leftroom Limited dominated leading DJs sets on release and has sold over ten thousand vinyl and digital copies. Robot was also nominated for ‘Best British Single of 2006’ in DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards.
Debuting with such a big production meant a big follow up and when the guys were asked by Paul Woolford to remix his recent underground classic ‘Erotic Discourse’ they didn’t disappoint, creating another track which has seen massive global coverage with plays from most of the aforementioned artists and many more.
Their debut EP on 20:20 Vision featuring the tracks White Noise, Coastline and Quicksand achieved status as one of 20:20 Vision’s best selling EP’s of 2007. Remixes of tracks such as Idiots, Erotic Discourse, Hijacked, Zum Zum and Stabbing Sally have all featured in Beatport’s top 10 covering all genres whilst selling equally well on other vinyl and digital release portals. Audiojack have also remixed for Underworld on their record ‘Holding the Moth’ which was released on their recent Japan compilation ‘The Bells The Bells’.
Audiojack’s music takes influence from various styles and is typically hard to categorize. Their music appears in shops and magazine reviews under many styles – house, progressive house, minimal, techno, breaks, electro and tribal have all covered their productions, interestingly 4 of those genres covered 1 remix in the same magazine issue!

Neil Landstrumm
A stalwart of the UK electronic music scene since 1994 Neil Landstrumm has released work on many of the most recognised labels in the industry. Starting with Peacefrog, shifting gears to Berlins’ Tresor Records he then upped the bass-game onto arguably the UKs’ most important electronic label of the moment, Planet Mu. Neil Landstrumm is an artist who always seems to be at the spearhead of experimental, dancehall low frequency electronics. After a lengthy sabbatical in New York, the native Scot is now settled back in Edinburgh where he continues to make music and operate his label project, Scandinavia.

Neil has toured relentlessly worldwide, supporting each years releases with uncompromising live shows using a plethora of sound hardware. Never an artist to rest on his laurels and churn out the same old, he has built a career on being unpredictable and open to new perspectives from which to hone his sound. A pioneer of new styles within techno, often copied and imitated Landstrumm has a strong pedigree within the scene. Unaligned to any one genre, upfront and heavy, he makes music for all-comers to the rave . Landstrumm heads into 2008 with refreshing abandon after 2007's critically acclaimed LP released on Planet Mu records called “Restaurant of Assassins”.

With the heaviest subs this side of Chapeltown, Landstrumm seeks new lows with “Restaurant of Assasins” bringing together classic UK techno vibes and modern dubstep with a refreshed rave sensibility. Neil hijacks dubstep structure and its “on-the-three’s” approach but adapts it to his signature sound so identifiable from the decades previous productions. Undeniably proud of the UK’s heritage in electronic music and clearly passionate about the influences in his musical ouput, Landstrumm has a talent for bringing it all together in unusual and creative packages. Chasing the Great Northern Raves from the Happy Mondays and Yorkshire Bass N Bleep scene, to contemporary dubstep you can follow Landstrumms’ vision of the ravestep sound in 2007 with “Restaurant of Assassins”.
