    I find their equipment grand.

Nothign too special now but I've played a few and they had a nice feel and sound to them.

I prefer their basses over their guitars though.

Their Vintage styles are meant to be pretty decent. I've heard great things about the Zip in particular.

Well, I've since decided against getting one. Don't need another strat, and nothing else in their range appeals to me.

Ah man, don't tell me you've never unpacked a new guitar, played it for five minutes and gotten that 'I don't need this' feeling... :p

Actually I've gotten the 'why the HELL did I buy this?' feeling a few times!

Just curious alan, Will this strat be white with an RW fretboard?. And a hardtail?. And do you picture yourself playing "texas flood" with it? :D.

As for the staggs, they are very decent entry-level guitars. They're up there with squier standards. But they dont compete much once you get past the 400E mark.

Hahaha, it'd be called Charley too!
It's actually going to be a Squier Classic Vibe 50's with a maple fingerboard, it's a bit of a project guitar, they actually play surprisingly well out of the box, was amazed when i got to try one out in xmusic there about a month ago. Figured i'd have to something at least a bit different hence the lipstick tubes, as for what else i do...i haven't quite thought that far ahead!

Never played any of them myself, but i've heard great things about them!!. I've read reviews where they've been compared to mexican fenders, which is pretty impressive!. The higher range squiers seem to be getting better and better :).

If you want to do something really funky with it,you should think about getting one of these installed http://www.tremking.com/. One of the coolest new trem designs i've seen, and you could use that guitar as a guinea pig for it!. The only downside is the cost .

    Or!. Since it's a squier....

....you get a stevie hat, put a sign saying "the el mocambo" on your bedroom wall and beat the living **** out of it :D.
