Don't buy those fans, they are gimicks here they are only for very hot and humid climates where you have no air con in the room. You only need a little space all around, it does throw out a good bit of heat out the back so it will leave burn marks if you have anything pressed up against it.

Once you leave space at the back and mostly the right hand side of it i think as there is an air vent on that side and nothing blocking the front you'll be fine. As said those cooling fans are bull. You would only use them in this coutry if you were putting it in a rack of other equipment.

I myself leave4 inches on the right 1 inch on the left about 4 inches on the top and there is a good 6 inches of clear space behind the PS3 nothing blocking the front. After a good gaming session you can feel the heat blowing out but there is cool air all around and circulation is fine. It is in a Wooden TV stand. Once air can move freely around it you'll be fine.

you'll find out fairly quickly once you have it running in the cabinet or whatever, usually have to take mine out and leave it on top of the cabinet or else the fans run really loud when it heats up
