Finally, a worthwhile band reunion. Should be good, particularly with Coxon back.

Excellent. saw them in Dublin a few years back. excellent gig

I saw them in Dublin too, Damon came into Musicmaker and bought a MicroKorg, and Alesis Ion that day.

Hence the 'Maker had 8 on the guestlist!

They had a 9 piece band and played stuff from across their whole career.

Support was from Adrian Sherwood with Tulamore's own RiRa doing some vocal for him.

    It was a magnificent gig.

**** off! Rira as in "25 O'clock in the morning-Rira!

"So talk all that ra-ra ye have-ta, it won't make ya a gangster ye chancer!
Ye couldn't pull it from fcuking skull to your gullet and run it like this other fcuking mulla from Tulla!"

Haha... must be one of the only non-MJEX hiphop tunes I can rap from start to end. Hero.

I'd go to Blur if he was part of the support again.

I only got into blur around 2 years ago, never thought I'd see them live.

"13" is a musical masterpiece, and the older pop stuff is good too.

    They better come to Ireland!

Saw em in 99, and was pleasantly surprised. I think their last 3 albums are pretty good. I would like to see a love show with stuff off Think Thank...

Good stuff. And better still that they've done it now while the creative juices are still flowing rather than wait for another 10 years and realise the magic has gone (ala Brett Anderson and Bernard Butlers shoddy Tears reunion). Reckon the lads have one more cracking album left in them.

Watched them on tv at Glastonbury just there, looked unreal.

2 many DJs are brilliant but would choose Blur over em. Saw Blur many years ago in the Point. They put on a great show and so glad theyre back. Cant afford Oxegen so hope ill see them at some stage again.

The act announced today that the original line up will perform together at London’s Hyde Park on July 3.
The four-piece have not played live since 2000 when guitarist Graham Coxon left the group after a series of arguments with lead singer and childhood friend Damon Albarn.
Blur carried on as a three piece, releasing the album Think Tank in 2003.
But the momentum seemed to quickly drain from the band with all three members admitting they didn’t feel the same without Coxon’s presence.
However, rumours have been persistent that the band would reform if Albarn and Coxon, who met as school children in Colchester, could patch up their differences.
Coxon said: "There were several things I missed about being Blur’s guitarist.
"They’re probably really boring to everyone else but they were things I loved about the show, about playing with Dave and Alex."
The announcement today from concert promoters Live Nation does not announce any dates other than the Hyde Park show.
Lead singer Damon Albarn said they want to show people now what they meant back then.

Anyone else go to Hyde Park? They were brilliant, so great to see them again...

saw Blur in 99. very good live show.

Isn't there a difference between Soulwax (the band) and 2 many djs (the 2 brothers who are also in the band Soulwax?)

I have a Soulwax album from a good while ago, it's a straight ahead indie rock album laden with good hooks...
