Wedding Paperwork

Not talking about marraige certificates or anything like that, but the paperwork for the actual day itself. Herself got quoted €1000 for invites, mass booklets, RSVPs, evening invites, table plans and thank yous, considering that we have 160 people coming (max) and the quote was for ~70 of each of the above, I think it's way too expensive, so I'm going to go to print it myself, I have to do up the samples first.

Questions, does anyone have any sample templates that could be used for each? I can print out most of the black and white printing in work, so I'm looking for the inlays for the invites really.

Is the quote reasonible and am I just naive?

I'm not much help to you in terms of whether that represents good value for money or not as it's been a while since we got married.

However, at the time, we decided to design and print our own mass booklets, which was a bit time consuming, but meant that we were able to have them bound with the colour ribbon we wanted rather than the choice, from about five, that the printing company offered. Strangely this seemed important at the time :). A bonus was that the money we saved on this item went towards the flowers.

I wished we had done the whole paperwork thing ourselves though after our invitations arrived, through a very reputable company, and my name was spelled wrongly. It's not even a very complicated or unusual name, they just left out a letter. We had a very stressful few days trying to get it sorted out.

Google "printing wedding stationery" and see what's available.

There is a template on the net for the mass booklets i think it is called gettingmarriedbooklet very good you just have to put in your names & pick out readings etc was recommended to me will be using it myself later on in the year as for the invites very simply to make tried out a few myself google invites to give you an idea of what wording you want to use make it up in word don't 4get to change the size of the printer paper as i did ! ! You can buy ivory or white invites & envelopes in the art & hobby shop not sure of price there i got mine in Rathdowney in the book shop called Works there was an offer on so i got 2 packs of 50 5x7 cards for 12 Euro it prints out perfect on the cards as well was unsure if it would work but it did. My sister inlaw is good at art so iam going to get her to draw a bride & groom & scan & copy it onto invites & where the bouquet is im going to run the ribbon through i hope that makes sense  you can also buy wax & different seals in the art & hobby shop to make it look a bit more posh but honestly i don't think there is any point in spending a fortune on them when they will nearly all end up in the bin. Good luck have fun with the DIY :p
