Just wondering if anyone knows where i can pick up a polaroid instant camera in Dublin?? Not looking for anything too expensive, maybe around the €100 mark (including some Film).

    Found the following online:
    http://www.fashion.ie/Electronics-579504-B0001MB7RW-Polaroid_One600_Classic_Instant_Camera.html

This would probably do the job but cant be shipped for some reason. Anyone know a bricks and mortor shop that sells them?

    Cheers,

    BOOM

I'd skip out on a polaroid camera and pick up one of the Fuji instax cameras if you can find one. Polaroid have recently stopped making film, so once the current inventory is sold out (which will probably happen fairly quickly given that people are hoarding/buying to sell on Ebay in a couple of years time etc etc) then there'll be no film for those cameras. Some pola film has exact matches made by fuji, but not these smaller consumer cameras (600 and spectra).

Boot's usually have the 600 series cameras, but tbh, they're fairly rubbish, pricey and the film's a bit difficult to get hold of - I would check out the Fuji equivilent's though, there's some cool looking ones out there too - Check out Lomography.com for some examples, but don't bother buying from'em - Buy on eBay, etc.

Cheers for the heads up on Lomography and the Instax. The Instax does exactly what i'm looking for so i'll probably go with one of them.
But this is also appealing: http://shop.lomography.com/shop/main.php?cat=&pro=spe

Thats one of the camera types with the now discontinued film so just be aware of that if you're dead set on it. I think spectra film is even harder to get hold of than 600. Oh, and don't, no matter what you do, buy from lomography. Shame on you fajitas :-)

Yep, film'll be a bitch to find, nevermind affording it!!

D, I already warned about not buying from Lomography (Hell, I've written a chapter in my thesis about them) :p

Lets just say that Lomography was useful to see specs and pretty images of the cameras.
I'll take the safe option of the Instax, reading reviews and they seem to be decent....and of course the film is available and not so costly!
