    Dunno,

An Post look after all speeding fines and similar now. I doubt they will have solid records of your license history over the years.

I would say your going to be talking to a few different departments to get conclusive records.

The Gardai are supposed have a record of your convictions (if any) - is that any use?

For what purpose do you want to see a record of your driving history? Are you wondering if insurance companies will be able to see your penalty points record?

The Department of Transport keep records of points IIRC. Its not An Post as said above! They just do payment processing.

Request in writing to the local authority who issued your licence to you. there is a number on your license which refers to your drivers file everything to do with driving is there i.e. old licences, differents tests, convictions and points etc.

You will probably have to forward on some proof of who you are and might be like a freedom of information request might be some fee involved

Just to clarify, the Freedom of Information Act only applies to certain Goverment Departments and State agencies. If you want to make an application for information stored on file about you, it's the Data Protection Act you need to quote.

Just wondering if the OP had succeeded with this ????

I need to do the same for (potentially) emigrating.

I've discovered how you can do this.
You write to the motor tax office (email to motortax@dublincity.ie in my case). They will send you an application form (a PDF file) and you fill this in & return it (electronically or hard copy) with a €6 fee.

I've got the PDF file & I have attached it here, but you should check where the correct place is for you to return it to (your local motor tax office should be able to advise).

This thread was started in 2008 and updated a couple times.
usher1890, the poster you asked posted in 2012 and haven't posted in years.

This is the reason we don't like when people dig up old threads, it gets kinda confusing as everyone can see.

Feel free to start a new thread with particulars.
