Obviously majority of PS3's sold in Ireland come from England, due to the large retailers here based there...

Deal of the year at Argos UK. If you can travel up North, you can reserve a PS3 for £288 which includes Resistance 2, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift & Little BigPlanet all for free.

Unbelievable deal especially with sterling in free-fall, its the weakest its been for 9 yrs against € at 0.88

To be honest I think theres going to be an official price drop in PS3's come January/Febuary... no just the sales, It would explain the cheap deals going on in England... just Irish retailers are too ****in scabby to follow suit!

I reckon there won't be price drop and not because Sony don't want to. The strength of the yen is causing Sony and all Japanese companies serious financial problems. Sony has kept the price of the PS3 the same this year buts its costing them 40% to sell it in Europe/UK because of the sterling collapse.

I too have heard talk of potential price increases on all manner of electronics
due to the relative changes in the Yen/Euro/USD/GBP. There is talk of LCD
and plasma TVs increasing as well as consoles.

It wouldn't surprise me. With regards to the tv market, I'd say they are all holding out. Once one cracks they'll all up the price a little. I reckon PS3 will stay the same price. Sony seem to be reluctant to drop the price and would rather upgrade the hard drive than drop the price e.g. introduction of the 80GB model.

1yr trend of yen vs the dollar, sterling & euro. Absolute disaster if your a Japanese company.

Im up North tomorrow so I think I'll finally bite the bullet from Argos. Costs about 323e with LBP and the crappy looking free accessory pack.

Just worried about having to hoof it back up North if it breaks is all.

I went for the UK option. Finally bit the bullet!

By the way I am selling Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2 (both brand new and sealed if anyone is intnerested). 40e each but I will listen to offers and/or do a discount for anyone who wants them both. PM me if interested.

Why you would want to sell Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2 is beyond me!! Both are must-have games this christmas

I hear both are very good but I have MGS4, Fallout 3, Valkrya Chronicles and LBP (ill give it a go) to get through and this is before I make my compulsory PES purchase.

I have had an offer for R2. But if anyone is interested in a sealed copy of Motorstorm 2 then &points you to adverts*.

Wait, does the smiley with the sunglasses mean you were joking?
