Anyone played this. It is in Xtra for 35 new at the moment. Bought dead space for 40 tonight as I heard this was good. I have'nt heard a thing about Mirrors Edge although reviews seem ok. All going on idea that it is a new concept but is the gameplay any good ?

Reviews are good. They say the concept is interesting, quite the departure for EA and their many sequels but that it just doesn't come together as fluidly as it should.

There's a demo up on PSN. Why not give that a whirl and combined with the reviews it should give you an idea whether or not it'll be your cup of tea.

Apparently the demo is way better than the game that was released.
It's getting appalling reviews..kudos for something different but most of them are slating it for things such as can't see where you're jumping from etc.

Read 1up.com for reviews. Most honest site around.

Depends what you're looking for in the game. If you've played Tony Hawks or SKATE and liked them then yes you'll like Mirrors Edge. If you are looking for a CoD, Halo type game then you will be dissapointed... severely

The game is SHOCKINGLY short, I mean you could finish it in one sitting, if you don't bother stopping to fight or get lost (pretty difficult to do imo)

The games life comes from its timetrials. If you liked finding the best lines to pull off tricks in SKATE, you'll like Mirrors Edge as it offers you a varied number of ways to complete a timetrial. You can also download the ghosts of other players online to see what routes they took.

Thanks for this folks. Will give it a miss even if it is only 35.
