Stupid 3 modem question...

    Ok,
    Considering buying a 3 prepay modem.
    Will it also work when out of 3g range?
    googling this and asking in 3 stores I got mixed replies.

    you have to be in a 3G area, that christmas box offer they have is very good €99 for a phone and modem....

    that's only for voice and text, not data...

    I regularly use data on Voodoo between Dublin and Dundalk when forced to....it's dead slow, but it IS available to me.
