PS3 DVD Upscale to HD Resolution?

    I'v been reading online that a standard non-blue ray dvd's will be upscaled to hd resolution when played on a PS3 and using a HDTV?

    I know that they wont look as good as a blue ray disk but better than they would on a normal dvd player!

    Getting PS3 in few weeks and wondering what quality is like???

    Yeah if you have a HDTV then your DVDs will be upscaled. It makes DVDs look that little bit smoother on the big screen TVs although it depends on how big your TV is. The bigger the TV, the better the improvement will be to a point. It will be better than a DVD player alright.
