I get an error message (80244019) when I try to update with Windows Update, Checked on internet, says this is a DNS issue but their remedies don;t seem to work.

Anything you can reccomend? I tried flushing the DNS with Command Prompt but no luck.
Also tried WIndows Defender and Spybot to see if it's a virus. Nothing doing.

Check that the windows update and background intelligent transfer service are running.

    YEah, tried googling it....

I was unable to find "WIndows Update" in my Hkey Local Machines.
    Already tried running antispyware

DUnno how to reset my modem though. Doesn't seem to be affecting any of the other comuters using my internet connection.

I'll pull the reg key off my home machine this evening and send it to you. I'd do it in work but I doubt you want to try connect to our internal servers.
