Hey all, i'm looking at buying myself either a 32" or 37" tv after Christmas. I don't have a ps3 and i won't be getting sky HD in the next year anyway, so is it worth my while forking out the extra money for a full HD tv for the future?

    Cheers

My question would be why are you wanting to buy a new TV? If it's because you don't have one or the one you have is poor or bust, fair enough. If not don't bother getting an HD ready of FULL HD TV because, quite honestly, SD (standard pictures) look quite average on one. I am waiting for SKY HD to install in January and for the sake of £99 + £60 installation and then just an extra £10 a month I can't wait! I saw a pal's SKY HD last week and it was mind blowing - I am not easily impressed and I was speechless, enough said!!

The reason i want a new tv is because at the moment i have a 21" tv in my room that is about 4 or 5 years old, and i would like something bigger!

Ok, keep your expectations in check when viewing SD on a new HD TV, there is a lot to be said for the CRT TV's in terms of clarity etc. Even if you might get HD later, then go for it. I would personally recommend the LG 37LG6000 which I received last week, it on Amazon with FREE DELIVERY for around £530.

If you've an xbox360 you'll realy appreciate your new HD TV

Well, that was one of the reasons I bought one, mightn't apply to you
