    any one see the clip on the giant wild boar shot in the uk ,its a whopping 518 lbs. 234 kgs it was 92 inch s from tip to tail and 8 inch tusks . a gold medal .shot with a 30,06 . log on to Shookinguk .co.uk.

    its lovely eat some a few years back in cair .hopefully it will become more available in years to come

    Exactly, i would love to see them about in the woods here too, i dont think the farmers wouldnt be too happy though :cool:

    there is big money been made on them in the uk 500 pounds to shoot a none trophy size animal .

    Would you say it was an escapee from a farm ? they say even a domestic pig can revert to wild boar status(hair and tusks etc.) within a couple of months.

    very good meat indeed ! I was out in the est of France last week and had the opportunity to eat Boar and roe deer. Delicious ! i have a little preference for Roe Deer though.
    Shooting has been good and i am going back at the end of January. Some hunts around our territory bagged 35 boars a day :eek:.

    To see the biggest Boars, they haver to be from the attila breed that you find in balkans and turkey. The record is over a 1000 lbs....

    Uncle in the states took the shot??? remember. Yellow stone national park 70's,you were like that when he got there. Sometime later as he recounted the story for the umpteen time:o, he returned to find this confused guy wander naked, again he took the shot the photo captures the moment. This time however he did not leg it but instead called one of the park rangers who took you into care! Thats the story fish.
