Find a two term expansion for the solution (close to pi/2) x of the
    equation

    e x tan x = 1

Any one know how I'd go about doing this, e being epsilon

    Cheers Dave

    Use Newton Raphson possibly?

Forgive my ignorance, but what's a two-term expansion? Is it just a taylor series in two variables?

Bit confused about that bit myself. I'm thinking taylor series too. Possibly expand to two terms and find approximations for the roots using that?
