I have BOI shares that I want to sell, this is just a once-off. Who would work out the best value & would do it the quickest? I was going with Fexco, are they good?

Moved to Investments & Markets, where it's more appropriate.

If you are a small shareholder (i think it is classed as less than 10,000 shares or less than Euro 10,000 worth of shares), you can sell them via the registrar (Computershare Ireland) for free.

You would have got the form with your last dividend cheque. Probably wouldn't be the quickest though. But nothing will be quick if you hold them as certificates.

What's the quickest way to get rid of them?

    Are they certificates?

Call Computershare. Tell them you want to sell your certs. They will tell you the quickest way and whether you are eligible to sell them through the small shareholder service they offer.

You could also try selling them through your bank, this will cost more though.

The reason it takes so long to settle sales in certs is that generally brokers want all their stock electronically. It will take a couple of days for Computershare to convert the stock from paper format to electronic format. The broker won't pay you until they have the shares.

Either way, your certs are going to Computershare so you may aswell call them.

You couldn't just walk in & cash them in?

Bumping one of your threads on this topic is enough, Glacier.
