    Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to this section.

Just wondering if anyone is planning on heading over there in 09?

Any ideas when the 2009 schedule will be published?

Bit of a pain with the currency atm. However if u have an online $ roll on stars or Party it aint that bad :) Specially if you manage to bring some $ home with you.

Just thought i'd ask as people are starting to talk about the 09 series now this years is out of the way :)

    Cheers

I'm sure there will be the usual 40 or so degenerates from these here parts heading over. Not sure when the schedule is published though, but I'd have thought it was out by now, not that I have looked of course.

Schedule was published around 10th of Dec last year iirc. I'd like to go, but variance needs to start co-operating for that to be possible!

20k stack, starting at 50/100, 2 hour clock. Full structure is available in several places on the web I'm sure.

About Feb if memory serves. Some sites might start earlier, but I think stars starts around Feb. Might well be available as a list of dates in the WSOP tab of their tourneies now though if some one wants to check.

I plan on going over for it this year as well. When would you need to book flights and accomodation so you can get the best deals? Would booking earlier or leaving it to the last minute be cheaper? I woud probably go for 10 days - 2weeks I think.

I am 100% going next year. I was meant to go this year but something came up and it had to be cancelled unfortunately.

To be honest, I've been looking forward to it since March this year so at this stage I'm fking dying to get there !

It looks like the dates will be released in late December - book ealry with Continental to Newark / New York and then get internal flights through Expedia / Orbitz etc. Should be a pretty cheap way to do I think.

Or maybe I'll just wait til I win the Irish Open this year and get a Lear Jet over :P

Sounds like there will be a few there then :)

I found 2 weeks in the Imperial inc return flights from London (im from england) for £800. Does that sound like a deal?

I will probably have to go out alone as i wont be taking the GF as my aim will be to play sats for the events etc... Non of my mates play poker either, if they do they dont have a "Vegas" trip bankroll lol.

With that said i vote for a "Boardies" meeting whilst over there :)

Should be there id say. Planning on 3 months in Vancouver or somewhere like that so will head down at some point during it id imagine.

The 2nd time will be better learn a lot the first time i think.

    .

    A complete kip!

We stayed there in June, based on a friend's suggestion. I must have done something wrong to her tho tbh, it was a dreadful spot. Not gonna be there much longer though, aparently Harrahs have bought it and plan on giving it a complete makeover.
