Hi all, I am doing a project for college which will include a ground bearing floor which is placed using long strip method. I am looking for book(s) with design examples for dead loads (large plant) and udl imposed loads (10-15m steel sections etc). Most of the books that I have come across have examples for pallet racking and the like and only deal with point loads.
If anyone has suggestions for books I would be most grateful.
    Thanks, Kev

    Sme,
Have you reviewed "TR 34" Technical Report 43 yet, when it comes to slab design its the bible for my office.

    Hope this helps

Yeah this is pretty much the industry standard for ground bearing floor slabs. Published by the Concrete society.
