I know this would be better in the tcd thread, but I can't post anonymous there so. I might have an sti and I would like to go to the tcd std clinic, but I know they're not open over the holiday break so I'm wondering if I'll have to wait until next term to get my results? If anyone knows Id really appreciate the help. Thanks.

    Bankholiday?
    Which bankholiday?
    Could you clarify.
As far as I know they are open normal office hours.

The health centre in TCD is open normal hours during the Christmas break but on their website it says
"We provide a sexual health clinic every Tuesday and Thursday morning during term time, 9.30am - 1pm."

You could always go along to the emergency clinics on daily at
9:30am and 2pm. It does state on the website that "If demand is heavy, lists may be closed early."

As for how long til you receive the results I couldnt find any info on the website.

    Hope this helps.

Sorry read on a little more and I saw this:

"The student is counselled first, then swabs and blood tests are obtained for all S.T.I's. Some results are available in twenty four hours, the remaining ones in two weeks. The routine waiting time maybe up to three to four weeks, however symptomatic patients will always be seen immediately. Appointments may be made at reception in the Health Centre. We charge €10 for courier of samples, otherwise the service is free."

If you are a TCD student you can access the health centre home page from the local home page by searching for it.

It'll probably ask for your log in name and password to access the page.

You can probably get better information if you phone the union welfare officers or the Health Centre.

OP here, thanks! I had read that and my question is if 'during term time' means once classes are over that service won't be available anymore? because essays are due on friday and as far as i know the term ends then? it would be a lot better for me to go next week as my essays will be finished then, but if tomorrow's my last shot i'd rather just get it over with.

As far as I know term time ends this Friday but like Victor said your best bet to clarify this is to ring the health centre.
