With all the unemployment and recession, is it time for Bono and his comrades to start up the aul self aid band wagon again?

Do you think it would make a difference?

No, the natural order of society is that a large number of people live miserable existences for the benefit of a few.
Since when have people in this country always expected life to be good. Its not spposed to be.

I'm going to lie down and let the fear abate. Next thing, you'll be saying you want In Tua Nua and An Emotional Fish to reform for it.

Ugh. The idea of sanctimonious Bob and his mates casting themselves as our saviours would probably be enough to trigger an economy busting emigration.

I thought for sure Bono was in Exile?

We don't have enough U2-wannabees anymore for Self Aid 2.
Actually In Tua Nua/Les Enfants/Cactus World News/Blue in Heaven reforming could make lots of people emigrate which would help reduce unemployment.

Genius! Did you think that one up all by yourself? Do you mind if I use that one? It's unbelievable that RTÉ can't produce decent homegrown comedy when natural comedic talent like yours is in such abundance. "catching it from yore ma"! :D Brilliant. I'm in awe.

It'd be hard to top his last one in fairness. He might be a one-hit wonder.

He could well be. He's the St Winifreds School Choir of boards. He should release "There's No-one quite like yore ma" and cash in on his fleeting fame.

Why don't we just storm his mansion, take all his gold and give it the unemployed. That will kill two birds with the one stone.

Ok I promise never to use the 'YORE MA' joke ever again under any circumstances.
