Peizo Horn for a PA Speaker

Recently I noticed the horn in one of my PA speakers was not producing any sound. Does anyone know of any good shops/websites where I could buy a replacement driver or horn with driver?

The dimensions are 9" x 5" which may be hard to pick up as most horns are 12" x 6" or 8" x 4"

    Thanks

I usually just google for parts like that. Take out the driver that's in there and try to track down the same brand and model. Check to make sure that the driver is actually dead, on the off chance that the failure is actually in the crossover.

For convenience, you could try Maplin, though it won't be the best value.

The make is Le Son but I cant find any info on that manufacturer.. The speakers were custom built so I assume as long as the replacement driver is the same spec the make and model is not important.

What would be the best way to test it? I just assumed that it was dead..

Well, there's about 20 different parameters in the spec of a driver. Since it's a HF, you'll probably be fine as long as you get the impedence and the wattage ratings the same. Just be sure that you're comparing like with like when it comes to wattage types.

I'd check it with an ohmmeter/multimeter to see what's wrong. If the coil has infinite resistance, then it's dead. If not... it might still be shorted but I'd check that to begin with anyway. If the diaphram was damaged then it's simple enough to tell by looking at it anyway.

You might find something that matches in a Beyma or something like that.
