Have the numbers of Irish people travelling over to the UK to watch English and Scottish soccer matches increased / decreased in the last few years. It would be interesting to get some statistics on this. In the current Economic climate, I suppose that its safe to assume that the numbers are down a good bit.

Nah you don't wanna post that in the soccer forum. It'll only start a 10 page rant from somebody.

Isn't he 46 posts short to be posting in soccer, or has that changed?

Never any problem filling Anfield, as Liverpool has always been in a permanent economic recession.

I think you'll find that for the most part, entertainment and related services, including those related to sport, are usually the last to be effected retail wise in an economic downturn/recession/stephen.

Would the correct term for a permanent economic recession not be a depression?

Few mates went over on the boat to see Arsenal play. Said there was buses upon buses of Irish fans. (It could just be over-imaginitive gooner fans though(he he /runs))

Probably not even that because both terms would suggest an eventual end to the condition.
