    Raiders of the Lost Ark:

-a tense, exciting and gritty action adventure. the first Indiana Jones movie. you cant take your eyes off it. each action set piece gets better and more violent as they go on. the Indy movies were quite rough for PG movies. maybe they could away with alot more back then in a PG film i.e the Nazis face melting and heads exploding at the end etc etc. that freaked me out when i was a kid!

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade:

-a brilliant film with the same spirit as Raiders. the banther between Sean Connery, who plays Indys father, and Harrison Ford is quite comic. these movies have everything you could want in a movie. action you crave... there are a number of action set pieces in this movie which are breathtaking i.e the tank chase and biplane dogfight. one cliffhanger after another. this movie can be watched over and over again with the same excitement each time...

    Carlitos Way:

-an epic gangster film by Brian de Palma starring Al Pacino. the script i brilliant, acting is superb, especially from Sean Penn who plays a crooked lawyer. its notable for the end chase sequence on foot. one not to miss...

    Dirty Harry:

-this is clint eastwood at his best. this movie, made in 1971 was well ahead of its time. considered to be a fascist movie. a cop that employs brutal shoot-to-kill tactics to bring about justice in San Francisco. a gripping and fast paced cop thriller. it has stood the test of time and will for years to come...

by the way, the shawshank redemption is overrated... :D

Nah they couldn't really. Back then if you wanted to do a scene of a man shooting a woman point blank in the head, decapitating her, stripping and raping her dead body before slicing her from head to toe and playing around with her innards whilst howling at the moon you were seriously risking pushing the PG line and risking ending up with a 15's cerfiticate for your troubles.

man, it is epic. another great clint eastwood violent western. great story and quick witt humour... you can get a boxset with this, Unforgiven and Pale Rider in Tesco for 12 euro. it is well worth it... anything with clint eastwood is epic but Dirty Harry gets me eveytime....

what do u make of Robocop?

i remember seeing it on video for the first time when i was 7 or 8. i rented it one night staying in my grandparents. im suprised i was allowed watch all of it because it is ultraviolent. effects are great too

it has aged gracefully...what a film...
