Tell me honestly is it impossible to get any job

    hi
I've been away from Ireland for more than 1 year however Me and hubby do not have jobs here at the moment and it's becoming impossible to find any job here and since a decent paying job here is 1000euros a month and a minimum wage job is 200euro's a month .
Going home for 6 months or so is sounding like an option but there is no way we can afford to come back if there's no chance what so ever for one or both of us to get a job .
Our expectations are not high just your standard minimum wage job .Dh is in the construction trade (i know not a hope)But has a couple years experience as a cook and other jobs as in that industry to.
So please I'm asking for people's honest opinions is there any hope to get a job at all?

Finding work in Ireland isn't too bad if you settle for near minimum wage, Employers seem to think we'll settle for €9/hr for a semi-qualified job like process operator or assembler, hospitality jobs are heading the same way, look at fas.ie to get an idea of wages etc. Cost of living here varies, if you're living in eastern or central europe now you'll get some shock when you come back but if you live in the country and work in one of the cities you should be ok. rent a house for about €700/month food= €150/2 people, bills etc =€75/week to get started take a job for around €400/week work away while looking for something decent. work shift for 20% extra or 25% if you work w/ends. there are very few construction jobs but they are there. if you don't have kids you'd be better off working also. if you need any more info don't hesitate to message me
