eating to lose weight

Just a quick, possibly thick, question.

What should I be eating/drinking when I get back from running?

The context of my question is this: I’m trying to lose weight rather than bulk up at the moment so I’m currently training 3-4 times a week, a mixture of kickboxing, running and weights. For the next month or so I’m going to be training for a 13k run so I’ll be dropping a weights sessions in favour of bodyweight exercises and more running.

Anyone got any advice or suggestions?

    Thanks very much

The classic meal after a workout is a protein/carb combo. Ideally, that would be whey and something like glucose, but it could also be chicken and yam, tuna and rice, even a yogurt or cottage cheese with honey. Try to keep fat to a minimum, go for protein and carbs that will be easily digested.

The idea of your post workout meal is to replenish muscle glycogen and repair damaged muscles.
