I have 59 (at the mo), from online bank accounts, to work applications/network access, to forums, to online shops etc.
Some of these have to be changed at regular intervals ie. work, but others are permanent. I keep them in a (password protected) XLS file, doh! I suppose I have to, as its hard remembering that many, even though most of the permanent ones are very similar. I hope I don't loose the one to the XLS file !!

    I have absolutely no idea.

I have one that I use for all websites.
I have a second more secure one that I use for the likes of email and paypal.
I have a third one that I use for websites which won't accept the first one.
    I have my banking ones.
I have three or four for various stuff in work (which change every 40 days or so)
I have a couple for machines at home.
I have a couple for machines belonging to other people.
I have a pin for my bank card
I have a pin for my credit card
I have a code for my phone
I have a code for my house alarm
I have a code for my voicemail in work
I have a code to get into work after hours
I have three passwords for online business banking, which I can never remember, so I have them noted down in a supersekrit place.

Other than the last item, everything else is in my head.

I've about 10 or so in varying levels of complexity, depends on how much I care about whatever it's protecting or how drunk I was signing up to something..

I did that for all fake accounts i created (see infamousgangsters.com (my fav site for trolling in 2007)). But recently yahoo have stopped allowing you to have password as your password.

I have a secure program that remembers them all for me. All I have to do is validate it with my windows login password, it automatically logs me into whatever programs or websites i choose. Works really well.

This is an enterrpsie product provided by my work - but I'd guess there is a consumer version available.

How did you get caught? Having the same email or something?

Or the fact that cúnt fúcker said "Yore Ma" as often as you did:confused:

I instantly re-regged from the same computer when i was banned and made an obvious joke post.

E-mail address was the same as my other one but with an extra number stuck on at the end.

    I have too many passwords!!

God dam admin accounts...... but the good thing is none of them are the same and yet I still remember over 100 passwords! I don't know how but I just do.

    XLS sheet = FAIL
I keep them in a (password protected) XLS file, doh... ...I hope I don't loose the one to the XLS file !!

Get yourself a copy of KessPass it will run on almost any platform
KeePass supports the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES, Rijndael) and the Twofish algorithms to encrypt its password databases.

SHA-256 is used as password hash. SHA-256 is a 256-bit cryptographically secure one-way hash function. Your master password is hashed using this algorithm and its output is used as key for the encryption algorithms.

In-Memory Passwords Protection: Your passwords are encrypted while KeePass is running, so even when the operating system caches the KeePass process to disk, this wouldn't reveal your passwords anyway.

PocketPC Smart Devices KeePass for PocketPC and Smart Devices
Linux Link KeePass for Linux / MacOS X (1.x KeePassX)
    J2ME Website KeePass for J2ME (Symbian, ...)
    BlackBerry Website KeePass for BlackBerry
PalmOS Link KeePass for PalmOS (Converter) (also see 2.x To KeyRing)
PortableApps Logo KeePass for PortableApps Suite™
Package KeePass 1.14 for U3 Devices
Package KeePass for Preinstalled Environments (PE)

    Edit:

What is the lockout on Board for wrong passwords again ?*

When you have to start remembering passwords that are 16 to 24 digits long with multiple capitals, characters and numbers then feel free to whine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,378 ✭✭✭Krieg

At least 10, majority of which are alphanumeric
I also change the important ones like Paypal, wow, steam etc, every 3-6 months, which does often result in "Crap, whats the new password...".
