    Quick one
did a bit of research on my laptop and found out it will take a Max of 3gb of RAM.
Found a place that is selling 2x2gb sticks cheaper than 1x1gb and 1x2gb
what would happen if i put the 2x2gb's in?

    thanks

It probably wouldn't boot up.Use a memory configurator to find out what Ram is suitable for you.Chances are your only able to use 1gigs sticks.

If your laptop is running xp you can install 4bg ram and it will boot up no proble. Windows xp only uses 3gb anyway.
