Quick question regarding any essays we have to hand in early/mid December.

I assume they are all going to Charlotte Holland as usual, and that we have to have some form filled out before we go in? Procedure as usual?

I haven't actually been able to go to any classes because of the essays, and the module outlines I have don't specify enough. ;)

If in doubt, email Charlotte. She always replies! Tip for those essays: rather than reading whole books, try to find journal articles instead. Search JSTOR for your key words and phrases and you'll be pleasantly surprised with what turns up.

I would have thought the point was to use both books and journals.

I did say whole books. In my experience, a lot of undergrads haven't a clue how to tackle essays properly. But please, suit yourself.

You see....you try and help someone and then they bite your hand off...

Thanks for the help, but I use both books and journals regardless, and never actually read whole books. Completely pointless, I agree. ;)

Anyway, how are peoples seminars/essays going?

Yeah I have it done (bar the annoying as **** footnotes), on Vietnamization and Nixon concluding the war. Pretty straight forward stuff, defintely the easiest of the three I've had to do.

Do you go to the class or what? If you're the person I think you are then...

I haven't gone to class for weeks. Any of the classes besides the seminar.
