Are you looking for advice like or just for people to compare notes?

I start with stuff i generally like myself as noone listens at that time of the night.Once its not hard on the ear anything goes imo

bit of both really...I have a playlist for 21st's ready to go and I would add to it or remove from it depending on the atmosphere and the crowd and stuff. Im really just wondering if you would play like 60's and 70's stuff for the older crowd or just charty stuff for the younger ones...

I would say definitely stick with a lot of the chart stuff, possibly the odd big hit from the 80's but not much. All they want is their Justin Timberlake and Rihanna fixes!

I think I can safely say that is as close as I've seen to hell on earth.

If I didn;t slip out to the toilets and cut my wrists during the Pussycat Dolls, I'd be deffo gone by Basshunter...

    ah no, fair play...

i did a wedding once, and there's a definite skill set involved in using that sort of stuff to manage a diverse crowd, but it's not for me really...

Early on play a broad range to show everyone your going to touch on every decade and so no one feels left out. Then just bang out whatever they want, its a piss easy gig i wouldnt worry about it just be confident

yeh, give the people what they want...Certainly no issue with confidence, im raring to go...

I've mixed a 90's dance set to sneak into the middle somewhere...

I did a gig in the turks head in dublin at halloween, and threw in a 90's classic dance set and it went down a treat. The floor was full with people shouting ' Pump up the jam..... AUW WAA !!

Personally i would do a quick remix of each song tjey wanted - just chop up an amen break for each and add a bit of bass here and there - sure it would be great craic - money up front though!!!
