Depends pretty much if its standard config, or BTO.

True, I ordered a non-standard 15" pro here in the UK last week, my delivery date is between the 13th and 15th Dec.

No it will be standard configuration. I will update memory, hard disk myself later

Be aware that any change makes it a "custom" configuration - even adding a DisplayPort to DVI adapter... which is ridiculous really...

But what if you added it seperately to the shopping cart?

I ordered an imac and printer nov 25th and got it on the 28th.
Don't forget they are giving rebates if you buy a printer as well... :)

That may work - didn't try it. Adding it from the MacBook's configuration page will change it to a custom configuration...

They do seem to have changed things around a fair bit. ordered a new Touch in the sale, very late Friday. Got it engraved, but it was still shipped Monday from the UK and delivered today. I thought I would be waiting 2 weeks.

I ordered a MacBook on Friday (€101 off in the Black Friday promo :)) with upgraded RAM, DVI adapter and remote, and the status page is saying that delivery is due by the 12th of December. They say it's shipped, but haven't provided the tracking code yet.

Then on Monday I ordered a laptop sleeve and an iPod cable (free shipping promo :)) and it arrived today.

Some of their stock comes from the UK, but MacBooks and MacBook Pros ship from China, and meet up in the UK with anything else on your order, so it takes a bit longer.

Just an update. Ordered my MacBook with extra RAM, USB keyboard, DVI adapter and remote on Friday 28th November and it arrived today :D

My girlfriend got a MBP the other week, and it's a stunning machine, but I just prefer the smaller size of the MB - I'll be using it with an external monitor 99% of the time anyway.

Got it delivered to work, and I had brought in my TimeMachine backup disk from my 12" PowerBook to get everything set up ASAP, but I forgot to bring the power brick for the hard disk, so that will have to wait until tonight :o

I'm guessing laptopsdirect.ie will take a little bit longer to deliver than Apple themselves.
Think it'll be worth the 140€ saving though :D

They don't seem to be selling the latest Alu MacBooks, though - just the last generation plastic ones (http://www.laptopsdirect.ie/Macbook/prod.asp).

You need to compare like with like before talking about savings ;)

It's the new MBP I'm after, which they do have :p
