pop in and drop the kids off at the pool, while there play a few games on your phone.

Best way is to actually work but other than that: take several long breaks, figure out a Rubik's Cube, do a cross word, chat on MSN, shop on ebay, ...

Give the secretary and/or the HR manager a good seeing to.

No interweb access apparently. You could browse ebay on the phone but that's crap.

OP I suggest licking envelopes. You can make a game of it. See how many envelopes you can lick in one hour, then try to break that record.

Alternatively to see time fly, chuck a clock out the window. :o

    No internet

Loads of the AH regualrs will give ya plenty to go on... but seriously 8 hours is a long time filing your nails or counting the hairs on the back of your hands. You could go mad Ted.

Pighead usually plays some fun games inside his head. The donkey game is one of the greatest mind games ever. Say donkey out loud 7 times and then, and here's the fun bit, see how long you can go WITHOUT thinking of a donkey. Great game and highly recommended.

You can solve the jobs crisis by sharing your job with 150,000 other people. Time will fly with all those people to talk to.

If you can get away with doing so little work..they might actually realise you're not needed and fire you...problem solved!

Put a load of stuff on a memory stick from home and use that to keep you busy. Small games for the corner of screen, puzzles etc......

Go into the jacks, wet some toilet paper and throw it at the ceiling. Great craic...for a half hour or so.

I pass each day in my work sitting silently at my computer, performing the various tasks my boss asks me. Its fun being an automoton.
