So my bet with Paddy Power is still on, now all Lance has to do is win!

Did they take your money? Refused to give me odds on Contador last year (I was going to do a cheeky tenner after the Giro back down)

Yeah eventually, after he said there weren't any odds on him I told him to check the website! gave me crap odds of 9/2

He's shortened to 7/2, so you got a bit of a deal I guess.. still crap odds though -see what you can get on Lance doing a double giro/tour :)

So has Lance stopped being concerned for his safety???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,860 ✭✭✭TinyExplosions

Nope, not according to this interview

Yeah maybe those european tour managers weren't encouraging the public to spoil his chances as he previously claimed.

But at least he's sticking to his anti-doping transparency promise.

I think he's actually at the Astana training camp in Tenereife (sp?)...

Been keeping an eye on the Twitter site for a few weeks.

Contador has now got himself onto it too as well in the past couple of days. Hard to know what his humour is like, but it sounds like he is trying to get his digs in with Armstrong all the time with his comments..

The best one to date has been his Spanish comment which translates as something like... "and you say you want the best for the Astana, it starts with putting on the same kit as your peers"

Of course there is always the chance that it is not the real Contador...

    Qué gracioso

This soap opera is going to run and run.

Of course, if that really is Contador, he knows well that pro contracts run from January 1 so Armstrong isn't officially a member of the team till then, which is why he isn't wearing the kit. It's a common enough sight, you'll see guys wearing their old team's gear while out with the new one. Bradley Wiggins was in Columbia kit last week while training with Garmin-Chipotle for example.

Got a link to Contador's Twitter?

I suspect that's not the real Bertie though, so a link would be nice :)

Reading Contadors twitter page and it looks a bit suspicious. A bit too blatant with the jabs, it's hard to tell, but I guess it could be him!

You only see the half of the comments on his page..

Nearly every photo posted by Armstrong on his page in the past 1-2 weeks has a comment. Some in English, some in Spanish..

I guess if it is not the real one, he'll be shut down fairly quickly...

    I can't believe it's him.

In reply to Armstrong's report on some training here:
ok, nice,, but keep on training.. i ll need your help to win 2009 tour de FRANCE
