I need to add an extra tv point at home,is it just a matter of looping off an existing one or what has to be done?

    It depends.
Is it cable, satellite or aerial?
If it's both cable/satellite and aerial, do you wish all to be available in the new room?
How many are already in the house and how are they supplied?
