I'm currently looking at EHX stuff, the envelope filter is almost a certainty - I've been thinking about that for about 6 weeks now - but I'm curious to see what delay pedal you guys could recommend. The Boss ones are apparently hideously unreliable, and I've no doubt there are much better brands out there. For the delay pedal, I wouldn't plan on spending too much.

www.buildyourownclone.com do a filter the last time i checked and it's gotten great reviews!. Even if you get one pre-assembled that'd still be good value.

I find it very hard to believe that Boss pedals are "Hideously Unreliable". There one of the best built pedals ever made. I've some over 10 years and they work like new. So i'd not worry about that.

Just the Boss delay pedals, I was reading up some reviews on them and people have consistently knocked both of them. I have an ODB-3 myself and it's held up pretty well.

I'll check out BYOC, cheers :)
