    Yo,
May be "Santa" this Saturday, so I'll need to dye the beard and mostache white, to fit with the "Santa" beard. I'd prefer the dye to smell as little as possible, as I may be "Santa" for 6 hours or so.

You can get sprays in places like Claire's accessories and the bigger branches of Boots that will temporarily colour your hair (it's just like spray paint that will wash out when you have a shower).

Would it not be easier to wear a fake beard?

Will be wearing the fake beard, but to stop the black beard being obvious under the white beard, I'm going to make my beard white, so it'd match with the fake beard, in case the kids tug on the fake beard.

You're better off with one of the sprays. You'll never get it snow white with any dye and you'll be stuck with a beard the colour of a slaugherhouse floor...

There's no such thing as white hair dye. The closest thing you could get is bleach, but it still wouldn't work for what you want to do. Bleach strips all pigment from the hair (as opposed to putting a colour in like a dye does) and if you're naturally dark, the result you're going to get after one bleaching (which should only EVER be done in a salon) is an orange-to-yellow hue. This is also permanent, so you'd need to dye your hair back to its original colour afterwards.

All in all, I really wouldn't recommend it.
