    Anyone have it or a number for a good luthier?

    The headstock snapped off my singers SG Standard last night for what appears to be no reason at all....it didn't fall anywhere...it was in it's case the whole time....string tension wasn't too bas...we tune to D Sharp...

    Wierd.....

    Yup thats it. Leave a message, his wife will usually call back within the same day or even sometimes within the hour. :)

    SG's are notorious for headstock breaks. It may just be that it was weakened by a few knocks previously and then finally gave in. Weirdly enough there's a theory that the sound gets better after the headstock has been repaired. I don't know if it's true though... but the join will be stronger than it was before.

    Can't seem to get them to either call me back or somply answer their phone....holidays perhaps!
