I would go back to the dummies. Tie a few wings on it. Get the dog to return the dummy quickly to you and not let it mess about. Don't let it get away with destroying the game now thats its young because it will be a habit thats very hard to break when the dog is older.

    Mallards.

An old timer at home, years ago, used to wrap the dummy with barbed wire when he encountered the same problem.

Sounds a bit harsh but he reckoned that it cured any dog who had a hard mouth or chewed game!!!

I heard that too and it's supposed to work - worth a try.

Barbed wire is a bit harsh,

A friend of mine told me to try thistles,

Put the thistle inside the dummy and attach some wings.

The thistle will pertrude slightly throught the cotton dummey

Id give it a try before i bring out the barbed wire
