    Anyone know of a gym in the D2/D4 canal area where you can just pay each time you go to it? Moving house and I need something temporary.

    I'm pretty sure the YMCA in Sandymount is pay as you go. It's a fairly new gym , opened only a couple of years ago. I haven't used it myself but have heard very good reports about it.
    It's on Claremont Rd, about 50m meters from Sandymount Green. The webpage is in need of updating but here it is if you're interested ;

    again ... been a year or 2 since I used it , but there is one on Luke St, (just off Townsend St / parallel to Tara St in the city centre) that is pay as you go..

    has a pool and smallish gym.

    Not the best facilities.. but its mostly fine.

    If I think of it , and I'm in the area, will check the details/names/Prices etc..
