    i dont know what to do in college next year!
    i like tech graphics and designing things, was thinking about civil engineering but wouldnt like to go out to sites or that, mechanical engineering seems to be in a factory, wouldnt like that. what could i do and where could i work in the future?

    Don't fret about it. Just do a course that you find interestin and you'll at least enjoy. Let your career worry about itself in 4/5 years time.

    It looks like you'd enjoy studying Product Design or Industrial Design, but I must warn you that you'll spend a heck of a lot of hours in the process of studying. It's very time consuming. Excessive workload and tight deadlines feature heavily in those courses, although as far as I know, the prospects after graduation are terrible.

    In fact, all jobs that involve any sort of designing are few and far nowadays.

    You'll reach a point when you'll just know way too much, and may either find competing against a mass of other people for highly paid non-design jobs or you'll work oyur arse off running your own design consultancy.

    If you enjoy designing, nothing should put you off studying any design-related course. :D
