    I'm annoyed with it.
Often you have to attempt to send a message several times before it sends.
It will always save a draft which means it is communicating with base.

The errors that come up are messages like "still sending" and then "oops your message was not sent"

    Anyone else experiencing this?

Of course the gmail chat doesn't work when this happens either.

I don't know if this is related but I've got a yahoo! address and have been having trouble receiving emails from outside the yahoo! domain. Apparently, Yahoo! upgraded their system recently and it has screwed some things up.

Are the addresses you are sendings emails to Yahoo! ones?

    No
    Any old address.

Got the mails eventually sent this morning.

This is webmail not pop so no virus scan is going near them.
I'm puzzled as to why it won't send when it is saving drafts as normal.

The chat feature also won't work.

Happening in all browsers,IE,Chrome and firefox.

I got so annoyed with Yahoo that I switched to gmail. I spent around 3 hours changing all of my various profiles on different websites to update the adderss.

    Have you a firewall ?
Is your connection speed ok - i used to get similar errors when d/l torrents and connection speed would have been slowed down a bit.Have you tried account from different pc?

It works better on the main pc alright but only in standard form.

Theres something wrong on this side somewhere alright.
Currently the only site I can view is boards!

    All other websites are unavailable.

I use zonealarm and this is turned off and still nothing.

This happens a lot lately but only on this pc-restarting it fixes it.

    Whats happening?

    Connection speed is fine.

This screams out as an Internet Security application or a firewall, that's where I'd start looking

Gchat has been very unreliable over time for me. I'll be chatting with someone across the pond and will lose the signal often.

Maybe try using a different browser?

It's either your browser or PC because I have never had one problem with Gmail (or any of my Gmail accounts) since the day it was out.

sorry to highjack the thread a bit but i'm wondering if anyone else has found this

Gmail saves a draft every minute or so while you're typing but in IE I find that the interface freezes for about half a second each time this happens and it misses some of the letters i've typed.

Not a huge deal because i usually use FF and only use IE when i want to sign into my second account but annoying anyway. Is it happening to anyone else or do you think its my pc?

i say if you want to run two sessions use anything other than IE. try giving opera a chance.

it's not that big a deal tbh. i don't need two running at the same time, just sometimes i don't want the tiny bit of hassle involved in logging out

you know i think it might be gmail i've had trouble sending a few emails recently in the last day or 2 i've been getting automatic delivery failures even though i absolutly posativly know that the email is still in use so perhaps they're just coming accross some bugs at this stage?
