    Hi,

Quick question that someone may be able to help with. I am going to buy a Sony HD camcorder - http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Sony-HDR-SR12-First-Impressions-Camcorder-Review-34178.htm
but will not actually be buying a HD TV until about next March (about a 46" full HD). In the interim, will i be able to play the HD camcorder on my bog standard 9 year old 32" Sanyo (that cost £1300 when i bought it new !! but at least has served me well). Would i need some sort of adaptor to connect the HDMI cable into the TV ?

For those that are interested, the camcorder is about €1200 in a Sony centre but 'only' ~€750 on ebay direct from a supplier in Honk Kong.

It all depends on the connections that come with it but you should be able to put it on your tv, convert it to WMV and burn it to a dvd...

I know that isnt a perfect answer but it may help...
